Access Bars® is a gentle holistic therapy developed as part of the Access Consciousness® system by Gary Douglas in the 1990s. The technique involves lightly touching 32 specific points on the head, known as “Bars”, which relate to different areas of life such as creativity, awareness, healing, control, communication, money, and more.
According to the Access Consciousness approach, these points store the electromagnetic charge of thoughts, ideas, beliefs, emotions, and attitudes that we accumulate throughout our lives. Many of these patterns develop during childhood or through experiences we absorb from our environment, family, or culture.
For example, messages we hear when we are young — such as “boys don’t cry”, “money causes problems”, or “you have to struggle to succeed” — can become deeply embedded beliefs that influence how we think, feel, and act later in life. Over time, these unconscious patterns may affect how we approach relationships, opportunities, success, emotions, or self-confidence.
Access Bars sessions are designed to help release the energetic charge behind these stored thoughts and beliefs, allowing the mind and body to let go of patterns that may no longer serve you. Many people find that this creates more mental space, clarity, and openness to new possibilities.
By gently activating these points, the session encourages the brain to move into a deeply relaxed state. This can help quiet mental chatter and support a sense of ease, calm, and perspective.
People who experience Access Bars often report benefits such as:
Deep relaxation
Reduced mental overload
Greater clarity and focus
Improved sleep
A sense of emotional lightness
Feeling more open to change and new possibilities
Each person’s experience is unique, and many people find Access Bars to be a valuable tool for supporting personal growth and self-awareness.
Access Bars is a deeply relaxing treatment.
You will lie comfortably on a treatment couch while the practitioner gently touches different points on your head in a specific sequence. The session is quiet and calming, allowing your body and mind to naturally settle into a relaxed state.
Many clients describe the experience as similar to receiving a deeply relaxing head and neck treatment. Some people notice immediate relaxation, while others become aware of subtle shifts in their thinking, emotions, or perspectives in the days following their session.
Because everyone processes experiences differently, results can vary from person to person.
A single session can be beneficial, however some people choose to have regular sessions as part of their ongoing personal development and wellbeing routine.
An Access Bars session lasts approximately 60 minutes for an adult and 30 minutes for a child.
Price:
£90 Adult
£45 Child
